Dreams about pooping
I had many hectic and restless dreams tonight, and in all of them there was a repetition of the same element: I needed to go to toilet but there wasn’t one available, or even if there was, it was in a public place with windows, or people kept coming in to talk to me all the time.
A friend told me that they have had similar dreams. We were trying to understand what might be behind them. I’m ruling out two things immediately: no physiological reasons (I did not actually need to go) and no Freudian analysis (poop symbolizes money and poop dreams mean having anxiety over financial matters).
We thought that it was probably just a stress dream, not having time for the most basic part of human existence.
After the week I have had, the stress explanation fits perfectly. But actually, funny enough, the Freudian one could fit as well. I made a large dent in my savings account to make a big purchase just yesterday. So who knows, maybe Freud was right after all? And just a rhetorical question: how on earth did he come up with this stuff? Did morphine (that constipates and takes a lot of money) have something to do with it?
But now I’m really curious: do other people have similar dreams? Maybe we all do from time to time? And what do you make out of it?
